Shawn Waldon joined Kitware in the Clifton Park, NY, office as an R&D Engineer on the Scientific Computing team. Prior to joining Kitware, Shawn was a Research Assistant in UNC’s Computer Science department. He worked on writing a tool called SketchBio to help scientists create 3D molecular models and animate them or export them to a simulation framework.
Betsy McPhail joined Kitware in the Clifton Park, NY, office as an R&D Engineer on the Software team. Prior to joining Kitware, Betsy was a Software Engineer at Vistec Lithography, Inc., where she was responsible for all phases of software development, including analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment.
David Manthey joined Kitware in the Clifton Park, NY, office as an R&D engineer on the Scientific Computing team. Prior to joining Kitware, he was a Senior Programmer for ReQuest Serious Play, LLC; a Programmer/Product Designer/Electronics Technician for Hitchcock-Manthey, LLC; and a Head Programmer/Product Designer for CamSys, Inc.
Jean-Christophe Fillion-Robin has been promoted to the position of Technical Expert. Jean-Christophe has been a driving force behind 3D Slicer at Kitware, and leads several important open-source initiatives, such as the Common Toolkit project (CTK).
Matt Leotta has been promoted to Technical Leader. Matt is leading multiple successful projects and driving several open platform initiatives for Kitware’s Computer Vision team.
Matt Bowman has become the IT Systems Manager to oversee the ever more complex computing resources, including cloud instances, which Kitware requires to fuel its cutting-edge research.
Brenda McCormack has moved into the position of Reporting Administrator, to manage the increasing number and complexity of administrative reports.
